2017 Brown-Rogers Therapy

The Evaluation:

Manual physical therapists are fully qualified to treat neuromusculoskeletal disorders of the head, neck and jaw.  Brown-Rogers offers treatment for Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJD), which often includes jaw pain and decreased functional mobility, headaches, and neck pain. The comprehensive evaluation for patients with TMJD includes assessment of neck and face musculature, jaw posture and alignment, jaw mobility, and trigger point pain patterns.

Conservative Management:

Physical therapists at Brown-Rogers use a variety of manual therapy techniques to improve the quality of jaw movement and eliminate pain.  These may include trigger point release, myofascial release, deep and soft tissue massage, joint mobilizations, manual stretching, and functional dry needling.  After pain is decreased and function restored, patients are instructed in specific home management programs to restore muscle balance and normal function.
